Leah Barrier is a licensed independent clinical social worker who graduated with her Master's of Social Work in 2007, with extensive experience in the field of social work, both in the medical setting and in the mental health setting. She works with all ages and has experience with trauma, crisis intervention, end-of-life/grief, anxiety and depressive disorders, mood instability, foster care/adoption, addiction/recovery, eating disorders, and adjustment issues. She has worked with children, adults, and families through outpatient counseling and in-home counseling. She uses cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and supportive therapy to assist with coping mechanisms, maladaptive patterns, and self-determination to overcome obstacles. Leah strives to stay current in her methodology and continues to seek different types of therapy to utilize to best serve her client's needs.
